Bus Pass Bandit: Part Six - KENILWORTH

For his sixth excursion, the Bus Pass Bandit took a short ride to historic Kenilworth to contemplate castle vistas and pick out a couple of pubs...

The new station at Kenilworth opened in 2018.

The clock tower in the centre of Kenilworth.

The Virgins and Castle is the oldest pub in Kenilworth, dating back to 1563.

His first tipple of the day was Obsidian Stout. The Virgins & Castle is a must-visit whenever the Bandit is in the Kenilworth vicinity.

Kenilworth Castle always looks imposing - the Bandit feels a certain kinship when it comes to old ruins!

A final drink and a very friendly welcome in the Ale Rooms (they also have a sister establishment in Knowle).
