Bus Pass Bandit: Part Eighty One - BROOM & SALFORD PRIORS

Yes, he's out and about again is our Warwickshire-based highwayman. There's no April fooling where the Bus Pass Bandit is concerned, not when there are pub and village spoils to be had...

Today the Bandit takes a bus from Stratford to Bidford on Avon for a lunchtime stop at The Frog.

A nice half of Hobgoblin IPA.

Heading north on the Heart of England Way, the next stop is the village of Broom.

The remains of the old railway line which once led to Broom Junction.

The Broom Tavern is an historic listed building.

A good place to enjoy some North Cotswold Windrush Ale.

Onwards to The Fish at Wixford, a wonderfully quirky pub by the River Arrow.

The beer is Wye Valley HPA.

An old photo from the days when Wixford had a station (it closed in 1950).

Following the River Arrow south, the final stop is at Salford Priors.

The Bell provides some Courage Directors...

And a Royal Enfield motorbike!

St Matthew's Church at Salford Priors.
