Bus Pass Bandit: Part Fifty Six - RADFORD SEMELE & LEAMINGTON

Episode 56 of the Bus Pass Bandit's public transport-inspired travels will involve more loitering in Leamington...

First off however is a bus ride out to the nearby village of Radford Semele for the rather quaint White Lion.

A nice Purity UBU from the Warwickshire Brewery.

St Nicholas Church in Radford Semele basks in the spring sunshine.

Back in Leamington, the Bandit heads for the Woodland Tavern in Regent Street.

And a refreshing Wye Valley Butty Bach just over from the dartboard.

Next the Bandit encounters a white horse, a noble steed...

...which is a courtyard feature of the White Horse pub on Clarendon Avenue

It's definitely time for some more liquid refreshment so some Fuller's ESB will do nicely.

The Benjamin Satchwell Wetherspoon on the Parade is convenient for a late lunchtime stop.

Fish and chips is accompanied by Sambrook's Powerhouse Porter.

Bus Pass Bandit: Part Fifty Five - WATCHET

Every year the Bus Pass Bandit makes a special journey to the West Country to stay with relatives in the Somerset harbour town of Watchet. Here are some highwayman happenings from his latest visit...

The Bandit's Holiday Special begins with a charming view of Watchet Marina.

No visit to Watchet is complete without a cider in the famous Pebbles Tavern. The West Croft Whisky Cask cider is delicious!

Over the road is The Bell Inn.

And a Thatchers Cheddar Valley cider to follow.

The Library at Watchet.

And a very interesting Radio Museum.

A footpath leads to St Decuman's Church, followed by a walk back along 'The Old Mineral Line' which once transported iron ore from the Brendon Hills.

A bonus picture of a steam train about to depart from Minehead on the West Somerset Railway.
